Introduction to the 2024 Standards Revision Public Comments

Welcome to the Public Comments to the Revised RSPO Principles and Criteria and RSPO Independent Smallholder Standard!

From 5 July to 20 August 2024, Revision 1.0 of the RSPO Principles and Criteria (P&C) and RSPO Independent Smallholder (ISH) Standard have undergone physical and virtual Stakeholder Consultations in various regions to receive feedback and comments on the changes proposed.

Following the closure of the Stakeholder Consultation period on 20 August 2024, the RSPO Secretariat has performed an analysis of the feedback and comments received, per the Decision Paper approved by the Standards Standing Committee (SSC) on 1 August 2024. The analysis identified, distilled and categorised the feedback received from stakeholders into three categories, which are general consensus, divided consensus and no consensus.

The Secretariat has incorporated some comments where there are general consensus into Revision 2.0 draft. The Public Comments will be carried out over a 14 day period from 2 to 15 September 2024. Your feedback and input are crucial and will help us to develop standards by taking into account the situation in each country and region. We look forward to your valuable contribution.

How to Register

How to comment on the documents?

You will be asked to input your comments into the revised draft of Principles and Criteria (P&C) and Independent Smallholder (ISH) Standard as well as Introduction and Preamble of the standards. To comment, you must be logged in (see guidelines on how to register above). Then only, you will be able to comment and provide feedback on the proposed drafts by adding your comments. Please go to the Document section below.

We are expected to get feedback on the Auditability, Clarity and Implementability of the proposed criteria and indicators, and you will prompt to select a type of comment to characterize your comment.
